I dont understand why they never did it with a secured encriptment since Nirvana exists since 10 years. Not a real database as Omnifocus does so well. The technical service answered kindly that I had to do it by myself and it was a text or. I made a wrong modification of nivana's database and discovered there was no previous back up of the data base. It helps me to follow GTD workflow so I can make my job correctly and focus on GTD They go in google drive and Evernote for personal stuff. I dont use references for the time being. Nirvana is easier, The way it treats next action, someday and waiting for is clever. Later, my challenge was to set correctly my system with Areas and appropriates contexts (as tags) and I am really proud of the result It tooks me about 2 days for moving my projects and tasks from Omnifocus to Nirvana (there is no import tool from omnifocus) but it helped me to make a deep review and clear my system.

I still think that it is one of the best software for GTD but even if making a crucial choice like this was indeed difficult, I had to do it. It is a pitty because I was accustomed to Omnifocus.
I was never really satisfied of my GTD system.
I decided to do it so because Nirvana follows GTD principle, it is clear and logical and wanted something I could use on every devices with a good GTD framework.Īlso I thought that Omnifocus was a bit out of date, to complicated for acting and also it tooks me to many perspectives to make I works as I needed.Īt last I spent to many time setting and re setting my system. I am a bit sad It ends a long mariage with Omnifocus, I was using since Omnifocus 1 I gave a real try to Nirvana since monday and finaly decided to switch to it.
